Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is the first and lone son of Late Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and President Asif Ali Zardari. His birthday is on 21 September 1988 and his birthplace is in Karachi.
His first school was the Aitcheson in the city of Lahore but could not carry on due to numerous safety precautions. Despite these threats he continued his academics at the Karachi Grammar School during his mothers next year as the Prime Minister. He also studied at the Frobel’s International School in the capital city, Islamabad.
During the self imposed exile periof of Benazir Bhutto he spent most of his time in Dubai or London where he continued his studies. Bilawal also studied at the Rashid School for Boys in Dubai and the Oxford University in London. His time at Oxford was from the year 2007 till 2010 where he was studying Modern and General History. Bilawal is a Black Belt in Taekwondo and loves to play cricket.
Benazir Bhutto’s death resulted in his father becoming the new Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party but he favoredhim for the role. Thus Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was appointed as the new Chairman and the person that would signify the heritage that his mother and her family possessed. He was formally appointed Chairman on 30 December 2007.
After four years of being the Chairman, he returned to Pakistan and became an active politician. His political career had begun and he delivered his first public address on his mother’s fifth death anniversary at Garhi Khuda Baksh. Till date he continues to be an active member of the Pakistan People’s Party and continues his role as the Chairman of his party.
