Sheosar Lake

Sheosar Lake (which is also called Shausar Lake, Blind Lake) situated in Deosai Natural Park; Pakistan at an elevation of 4,142 meters (13,589)Sheosar Lake is one of the natures marvels. The lake reflects different patterns with changing seasons. Sheosar Lake either ice covered or filled with greenery is a refreshing for tourists visiting the Gilgit-Baltistan province of northern Pakistan.

Sheosar Lake gains attention as being one of the highest lakes in the world. The approximate length of Sheosar Lake is 2.3 kilometres (7,500 ft), width 1.8 kilometres (5,900 ft), and average depth Mian Rafiq Ehsanis 40 metres (130 ft). Sheosar Lake is falls in Deosai Plateau, Worlds second highest plateau after Chang Tang. Chilam valley lies nearby. The plateau is positioned at the border of Karakorum and the western Himalaya. The Deosai National Park was established in 1993 to protect the survival of the Himalayan Brown Bear and its habitat. The tourists visiting the Deosai Plains can also look for the Himalayan Ibex, Red Fox, Golden Marmot, Gray Wolf, the Ladakh Urial, the Snow Leopard, and over 124 resident and migratory birds. Birds in the park include the Golden Eagle, Lammergeyer, Griffon Vulture, Laggar Falcon, Peregrine Falcon, Kestrel, Sparrow hawk and Snow cock
