Dr. Muhammad Farooq Sattar was born on 9th April 1959 in Karachi. He is an active and senior member of the Muttahida Quami Movement. He is a certified doctor and graduated from the Sindh Medical College in 1986. Other then politics, he enjoys public duties and reading.
Dr. Farooq Sattar is the Deputy Convener of the MQM. His political career has been a success as he was a MNA from 1988 till 2013 and never lost a party seat in Karachi.
He was also a Sindh Assembly MPA from 1993 till 1998 and also held the post of the Provincial Minister for Local Bodies in Sindh and also former Mayor of Karachi.
Dr. Farooq Sattar was also a candidate for becoming the Prime Minister of Pakistan in mid-March 2008.
